Vilai Ananda formed VSA Capital, LLC, in the summer of 2009 when she returned to the Hawaiian islands after spending 11 years in New York and New Jersey. While there, her experience was primarily in the capital market investing for private investors and her Trust. While on the East Coast, Vilai matriculated at New York University, Stern School of Business, and graduated with a Masters of Business Administration degree, majoring in Finance.
From 1981 through 1997, Vilai and her business partner formed and operated a successful commercial real estate and property management company called Wagner & Wagner, Inc., advising and managing properties for institutional clients, including:
• Equitable Life Insurance Company
• Daiea (U.S.A), Inc.
• General Growth Properties
• Haseko (U.S.A) Inc.
• Tosei Shoji Inc.
Wagner & Wagner, Inc. was one of the top two commercial real estate companies in Hawaii specializing in office, industrial, and retail real estate sales and leasing. Vilai was instrumental in consulting, performing feasibility analyses, and marketing for many of these projects.
Prior to forming Wagner & Wagner, Inc., Vilai was the project manager for a twin tower resort condominium project called Liliuokalani Gardens in Waikiki for Haseko (U.S.A.) Inc.
After graduating with a Masters of Arts degree in English and American Literature from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, Vilai returned to her place of birth as an instructor in English to fourth year accounting students at Chulalonkorn University, the most prestigious university in Bangkok, Thailand.
